Kaagaz and Inside Chappal form a body of work that engages with Indian sociopolitics through design, art, and satire. The work consists of a fashion collection that engages with the hypocrisies of Indian politics, a satirical and artistic take on a newspaper, a podcast that dissects privilege, a cooking show that breaks down current events, and an academic panel platform.
Anamika Ananth is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who is currently on a social justice journey centered around Indian politics. She enjoys using her work and her free time to rant about society, politics and humanity, in the hope that it furthers conversation and maybe even change.
Most of her work stems from a crevice that believes that art and design give people the space they need to grapple with complex subject matter in novel ways.
Anamika enjoys the space in design that is constantly questioning and pushing for better methods and materials for production. Her work hopes to join the conversation surrounding socially and environmentally conscious design.
